My First Dive into the Metaverse: A Beginner’s Take on Immersive Experiences

My First Dive into the Metaverse: A Beginner’s Take on Immersive Experiences

Young-woman-experiencing-metaverse-digital-world-with-headset-and-devices.

An immersive experience keeps you separated from the real world, where you are physically present, helping your mind to revel in a digitally created world of preferred enjoyment and recreation.

To a certain extent, an immersive experience keeps you oblivious and unmindful about the realities and happenings of your physical surroundings where you stay, enabling you to gain a specific, preferred, or favorite experience.

These are my initial thoughts on the Immersive experience and Metaverse for writing in Medium.

I haven’t seen or experienced Metaverse, nor do I intend to get into viewing Metaverse content.

Because I am new to writing, immersing myself in the Metaverse will drown me out as a writer. So, I will create content on the Metaverse as I do about the other topics.

I am publishing my blog, “cryptoexchangeblog,” about crypto exchangescrypto apps, cryptocurrencies, blockchainAI tokens, DeFi, NFTs, and Metaverse.

It is a friendly guide, in simple words, without more profound technical knowledge.

My writing Preparations

To begin my writing journey, I needed to improve my typing skills. It was a struggle.

Then, like a beacon of hope, I discovered voice typing in Google Docs, which relieved me of the daunting typing practice task.

Then I saw the AI writers. I visited many sites to find out which one was good for me.

Then came the perfect chat GPT. However, it could not provide recent information in its writing.

Luckily, Google came up with its own version of the AI writing tool Bard AI, along with Image Creator and Designer. Regarding the Designer, similar to the AI writer, I was also trying to find an AI Image creator.

Before that, I had a list of free Image download sites for copyright-free Images for my blog.

My writing plan.

I wanted to write in 1998, 2010, and 2018. I could not succeed in any of those times.

But now I am writing this article. I am sure that I will publish it.

Because I have completed my preparations to a large extent.

The last label of my blog was Metaverse. Initially, I did not have a post about it.

As I was about to hit the publish button, I made a crucial decision. Starting my writing journey without understanding the Metaverse would be a significant oversight. Therefore, I postponed publishing the blog to ensure I was aware of this emerging technology.

Everything occurs due to the Internet.

The Internet proliferated due to specific technologies already in place: Computers, Telephones, and Mobile Phones. The Internet used the existing infrastructure for telephone services to grow very fast.

Similarly, Everything needed for a metaverse, including cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, is already there. VR, AR, ER, and Artificial Intelligence have all entered the crucial realms of modern human life.

People are familiar with immersive experiences and how they can be helpful for entertainment, education, health care, business, etc.

So when the latest innovation arrives with great features and advantages, people rush to grab it and reap the benefits. Technology in bits and pieces will eventually be ignored and left behind. With the ensuing generation, time will move fast forward into the future with emerging technologies.

Those held up by the previous levels will suffer.

Technological obsolescence has killed or eliminated many businesses in the past.

The (My) cassette lesson

I have some simple observations about this closely related to my life.

I have witnessed how technology evolved from the era of radio, tape recorders, and double-deck tape recorders to CDs, CD players, iPods, internet phones, and Androids.

Consider the music industry nowCD players, CD Music players, and iPods; where have they gone?

The cassette I lost and the song I found

In 1989, I got a cassette recording of my favorite songs in the local language. The shop-man recorded an English song, as some empty track was left at the end.

I liked the song and the music, and it became a favorite.

But I did not know the song, the album, the author, or the singer. I could not even grasp the lyrics.

Just as one can read many comments under YouTube comment sections of popular songs.

“I am from — ‘ X’ Country Name. I do not understand the song and its language, but I like it very much; music has no language.”

I knew the language was English but could not understand the lyrics.

I kept the cassette as a precious asset, as I did not know the song and could not purchase another cassette by asking at a shop. I thought that if it was lost, I would not be able to listen to it again.

Anyway, I lost the cassette and forgot about it.

None among us anticipated the emergence of the internet in the nineties

I never thought technology would easily retrieve the song. In other words, there would never be a way to retrieve things like this song.

However, I continued to preserve the worry of losing the cassette even after I started regularly using computers, the Internet, and YouTube.

One day, I just tried my luck a few years back.

I typed a search phrase on YouTube as I remembered it.

“Shik yo la”

The results came quickly, which is precisely what I sought.

“Debbie Gibson’s Shake Your Love”

It came so fast, and I wondered, “How was it difficult to guess the song correctly? Why did it take so long to search for this song?

It was easy to guess from “shik yo la” to “shake your love.”

Yes, this was one of the fundamental problems many people faced.

Need to pursue or follow what is currently available.

Lesson for technology updates

Technology is around you, and it can solve many problems, make things possible in more accessible ways, and create new ways of managing things that can change life.

Google Chrome bookmarks lesson.

As an aspiring writer, I stumble upon new things associated with writing every other day.

SEO, Images, copyright-free, writing portals, guidance blogs, and innumerable other websites that provide a lot of hints and information about various things.

Again, I needed a way to save and organize those pages. I did not know there was something like a bookmark.

I don’t even wish to remember how I discovered the Chrome bookmark and organized what I saved in it.

Groping to learn and use many things to build a writing career without knowing how to save a page was a dark phase.

Monitoring every emerging technology is impractical.

Through my experiences, I have significantly improved and learned to navigate the digital world. This journey has empowered and inspired me to continue learning and adapting to new technologies.

So, the most significant lesson is to learn the latest as quickly as possible.

But that is also difficult, as many things are emerging and evolving.

While monitoring every emerging technology is impossible or impractical, staying informed about those directly impacting your life is crucial.

Writing on Blockchain Technology and Metaverse

Due to its negative aspects, I ignored cryptocurrency, which many governments have banned. But then I accidentally read about DEFI and suddenly realized its technology could not be resisted.

The result was the blog www.cryptoexchangeblog.com

Cryptocurrency, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, augmented reality, and other technologies will all exist or evolve in the Metaverse. If I ignore the newest, I will be left behind, and the gap between me and the world will widen quickly

I am publishing my blog with few posts on Metaverse.

Thank you for reading.
